Spas In Colorado

Immerse Yourself in Luxury

Thinking of luxury spas in Colorado?

Pamper yourself mercilessly! Coloradans have a long history of using spas and mineral hot springs to relax after a day of hiking, skiing or other outdoor activities.

The state of Colorado is blessed with many natural mineral hot springs that have been used by early inhabitants of Colorado even before history was being written. American Indian peoples introduced our ancestors to many of these hot springs during the exploration of the West.

Often, tourists were drawn to the spas in Colorado in the 1800s to take treatments at one of our therapeutic mineral hot springs. The town of Manitou Springs was originally built by people who came to be healed by the mineral waters.

Imagine!

Many of those natural hot springs are still in use in places like Steamboat Springs, Glenwood Springs and Pagosa Springs.

  • Steamboat Springs has one of the most spectacular hot springs in the world at Strawberry Hot Springs. What a lovely place to sit in the warm, relaxing mineral water while snow is softly falling all around you. Maybe a massage would be just perfect for you after a long day of skiing or hiking.
  • And it's your choice, drop in for a while or stay for the entire day and enjoy all the spa services. Click here for more information.

  • Glenwood Hot Springs is a celebrated landmark in the heart of Glenwood Springs.

In addition to the world's largest hot springs pool, there is a lodge, water slides and an athletic club.

There is also the new Spa of the Rockies, emphasizing holistic healing, which is located onsite. Click here for more information.

  • Pagosa Springs is home to the Great Pagosa Hot Springs, which was discovered by the Ute Indians long ago. The Hot Springs itself is, at 145 degrees Fahrenheit, way too warm for safe human use, but it's a popular visitor attraction anyway.

Today in Pagosa Springs, there are three luxury spa resorts which make use of water from the same heated underground aquifer which feeds the Great Pagosa Hot Springs.

There is the Springs Resort, with over 20 naturally-heated, family-sized outdoor pools of different temperatures.

Nearby is the Spa@Pagosa Springs with its year-round heated outdoor swimming pool, as well as men's and women's indoor hot baths.

There is also the Overlook Mineral Springs Spa which has rooftop pools where guests can luxuriate in the warm, soothing waters.

Now, I would be remiss if I didn't also mention several of the best luxury spas in Colorado.
  • The Broadmoor is a 5-star resort located in Colorado Springs about 60 miles south of Denver. This magnificent resort has a world-class spa which will cater to your every whim. • The Spa at St. Julien in Boulder is a 10,000-square-foot spa and fitness center located at the St. Julien Resort & Spa. Relax and enjoy all that this spa has to offer. They have even created signature treatments based on Colorado's indigenous plants and elements that you won't experience anywhere else.
